Trauma Recovery Group
(Adults only)

The focus of the group is to build skills toward recovery from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and related conditions through the use of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).  Experiencing trauma can affect us in many ways, causing us to have difficulty in making or maintaining connections with others, interfering with our ability to function in major areas of our lives such as home or work or school, having negative thoughts about ourselves and others, and result in feelings such as anxiousness, fear, anger, depression, confusion, and guilt.  CPT targets the altered beliefs created about the self and the environment in the following five areas:  safety, trust, control, esteem, and intimacy.  While CPT is not a cure, it is a step in the right direction to creating a happier and healthier life.

The Trauma Recovery Group is an 8 week, closed group that meets weekly from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. every Tuesday. Space is limited to 10 and registration to attend is required. This is a self pay private group and insurance is not accepted. Cost is $43.75 per session or $350, total due at 1st session.
Cost of group covers materials, resources, and time.
